Privacy notice
app.assetise.com · Effective 7 Oct 2026 · Version 1
This notice explains what happens to your information when you use app.assetise.com, the website where Claude, an AI, helps you take a project from an idea to a plan. When you first signed in, you accepted a short privacy paragraph. This notice gives the detail behind it. If anything here is unclear, email bruce@assetise.com and we'll explain.
Who we are
Assetise Inc. runs this website. We are a small business based in Colorado, in the United States. Bruce Durrell runs Assetise and reads every message sent to bruce@assetise.com.
Who the website is for
The website is for adults, aged 18 or over, whom Assetise has invited to work on their own projects. You can sign in only with the Google account your invitation went to. The website is not for children, and we don't knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.
What we collect
We collect only what the website needs to run your project. Here is everything, grouped by where it comes from.
- When you are invited. Assetise enters your Google email address, your name as the website will show it, your role (the person whose project it is, or someone who reviews projects), the day your access ends, and who invited you and when.
- When you sign in with Google. Google tells us your email address, confirms that it has checked the address is yours, and gives us a number that identifies your Google account. We use these to check that you were invited. We keep the email address. We don't keep the account number, and we don't ask Google for your photo, your contacts or anything else in your Google account.
- What you write and make here. This is your project's name and idea, your answers (including words saved while you are still typing), the notes and comments you add, any feedback you give on a question, the decisions you record at each gate, and the documents, summaries and suggested scores made from them.
- What others write about your project. This is the comments made on your project by the person who reviews it.
- When you accept our statements. We keep which version of the privacy paragraph, and of the statement about the AI's work, you accepted, and when.
- Records the website keeps as it runs. We record when you sign in and out and what you do, such as a decision or a changed answer, without the text of your answers. We also keep how long you spend answering, the time and cost of each request to Claude, how long pages take to respond, the spending limits set for your project and for you, and the notices your project raises.
- When something goes wrong. We keep a fuller note of the error, for Bruce alone. It can sometimes include a short piece of what was typed.
- If someone tries to sign in without an invitation. We keep the email address Google gives us and the reason the sign-in was refused, to keep the website secure.
- Your internet address. While you are connected, the website uses your internet (IP) address to limit how fast requests can arrive, and does not store it. Our logs show it only as a code that can't be turned back into the address without a key we hold. We don't record which browser or device you use.
You need a Google account and an invitation to use the website. Without your email address, we can't let you in.
We don't take payments on the website, we don't collect payment details, and we don't buy information about you from anyone.
Please leave out what your project doesn't need
Your answers are yours to write. Please leave out anything your project doesn't need, especially passwords, bank or card numbers, government identity numbers, and health information about you or anyone else. If your project involves other people, such as customers, family or staff, write about them only as much as the project needs.
Why we use it
We use your information for these purposes, and no others:
- We use it to let you in, and to keep out anyone who hasn't been invited.
- We use it to run your project: to ask the questions, keep your answers, write the drafts and summaries, suggest scores and record your decisions.
- We use it so that the person who reviews your project can read it and comment on it.
- We use it to keep the website secure, to control what it spends on Claude, and to find and fix faults.
- We use it to improve the website, for example by seeing which questions prove useful and by reading the feedback you give on a question.
We never sell your information, share it for advertising or use it to train AI models. The website shows no advertising.
How Claude, the AI, is used
Claude is an AI made by Anthropic. On this website, it asks the questions, drafts your project's documents and suggests scores at each gate. To do that, it reads your answers and what has been made from them. It works from what you write and from general knowledge that may be out of date, and it can be wrong.
A person makes every decision. On your project, that person is you. No decision about you or your project is made by a computer alone. The website does pause Claude's work by itself when a spending limit set for your project is reached. Nothing is lost, and the work goes on once a person changes the limit. The statement "About the AI's work", which you accepted at your first sign-in, explains how to check Claude's work.
Who can see your information
These people can see your project:
- You can see it.
- Bruce Durrell, who runs Assetise, reviews your project. He can read it and comment on it, but he can't answer for you or make your decisions.
- When something needs fixing, the people at Assetise who run the website can see it. Today, that is Bruce alone.
If Assetise ever lets anyone else see projects, for example another reviewer, we'll change this notice first and ask you to accept it again.
Nobody else sees your information unless the law requires it, for example a court order, or you ask us to share it. Two companies handle it for us, as the next section explains.
The two companies that handle it for us
Google and Anthropic handle your information on our behalf. Under its contract with us, each may use what it handles for us only to provide its service to us. Signing in with Google is the one exception, as explained below.
Google runs the website, provides the sign-in, and stores your project and our records.
- Your project and our records are stored on Google Cloud in Iowa, with a copy made each night in South Carolina. Both are in the United States.
- Google necessarily sees your internet address when your browser connects to the website. We have switched off Google's own record of each visit to this website.
- Google keeps the website's technical logs for us for 30 days. They hold codes, never your name, email address or answers.
- When we delete something, Google's terms with us say it is removed from Google's systems as soon as it reasonably can be, and within 180 days at most.
- Signing in with Google is also covered by Google's own privacy policy for your Google account. As with any website you sign in to with Google, Google may record that you signed in here.
Anthropic makes Claude. To write the questions, drafts and suggested scores, and to read a comment you send on your summary, we send Anthropic your answers and what has been made from them, any comment you send on your summary, your project's name and idea, and your name as it was given when you were invited. We don't send your email address or the comments others make on your project.
- Under its terms with us, Anthropic does not train its models on your information, and it does not sell or share it.
- Anthropic deletes what we send, and what Claude writes back, within 30 days.
- If Anthropic's automated safety checks flag a conversation for possible misuse, it may keep that conversation for up to two years, and its safety scores for up to seven years.
- Anthropic may keep anything longer where the law requires.
- Anthropic stores what it keeps in the United States, but may process your answers in other countries.
Where your information is
Your project and our records are kept in the United States, on Google Cloud in Iowa, with the nightly copy in South Carolina. Anthropic stores what it keeps in the United States, but may process your answers in other countries.
If you live outside the United States, including in Australia, this means your information is sent overseas to the United States, and may be processed by Anthropic in other countries.
How long we keep it
- Your project. We keep your project while your access lasts and for 12 months after it ends, and then we delete it. That includes everything you wrote and made, the comments made on your project, your decisions, your documents and the records of the requests to Claude for it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
- Our backup copies. Earlier versions of a file are kept for 30 days, and a deleted file for 7 days more, so that a mistake can be undone. After we delete your project, every copy in our storage is gone within 45 days. Google then removes it from its own systems within 180 days at most.
- The records of sign-ins and actions. We keep each entry for 2 years from the day it is made. Notes of errors are kept for 12 months.
- Your invitation, and what you accepted. We keep these while your access lasts and for 3 years after it ends, so that we can show what was agreed.
- Technical logs. Google keeps these for 30 days.
- At Anthropic. Anthropic deletes what we send within 30 days, with the exceptions described above.
- On your device. The next section explains what is kept there, and for how long.
What is kept on your device
- The website uses two small cookies, both needed for it to work. One keeps you signed in: it is removed when you sign out, and it stops working after 12 hours unused or 7 days at most. The other lasts 10 minutes, while you sign in with Google.
- While you type, the website keeps a copy of any words not yet saved in your browser's own storage, so that nothing is lost if the connection drops. Each copy goes once your words are saved, and all of them are cleared when you sign out. If your session simply runs out, the copies stay in your browser until you sign in again or sign out, and they are cleared if someone else signs in on the same browser. On a shared computer, please sign out when you finish.
- The website uses no advertising or analytics cookies, and nothing from any other company runs on its pages.
- We don't track you across other websites, and nobody else tracks you on ours. A browser's "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal therefore changes nothing here.
- Copies of your documents that you download are yours, on your own device.
Your choices, and how to ask
You can read and change your answers on the website, and download your documents where the website offers them.
You can also email bruce@assetise.com to ask for any of these:
- You can ask what information we hold about you, and for a copy of it.
- You can ask us to correct something.
- You can ask us to delete your project sooner than 12 months after your access ends.
- You can ask us to end your access.
- You can complain about how we have handled your information.
Asking is free. We reply within 30 days. To check that it's you, we may ask you to write from the email address your invitation went to.
A few things to know when you ask:
- Some records stay as they were made, such as a decision you recorded at a gate, so that they keep showing what happened. To correct one, we add a note beside it rather than change it.
- When we delete your project, we may keep your invitation, what you accepted, and the records of sign-ins and actions for the times given above, to keep the website secure and to show what was agreed.
- We can't recall what Anthropic has already received, but Anthropic deletes it within 30 days, as described above.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you may be able to complain to a privacy regulator where you live. In Australia, that is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. In the United States, it is your state's Attorney General or the Federal Trade Commission.
How we keep it safe
- Only invited Google accounts can sign in, and the website never holds a password of yours.
- Everything between your browser and the website travels encrypted, and Google encrypts what it stores.
- The keys the website uses are kept in Google's store for secrets, never in its code.
- Only the people listed above can see your project, and the website records sign-ins and actions.
No website can be perfectly secure. If your information is exposed in a way that could harm you, we'll tell you as soon as we can, and within 30 days of finding out. We'll say what happened, what it means for you and what you can do.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we'll show you the new version on the website and ask you to accept it before it applies to you. We will never start using information you've already given us in a new way without your yes. For example, before the website sends you emails, or lets you add your own files, we'll update this notice and ask you first. Each version is dated at the top.
